Carla Araos
QUALICERT / HEALTH INSURANCE CERTIFIED TEACHER
Carla started practicing yoga in 2002 in her hometown of Santiago, Chile, as a way
of finding balance in her life as a busy architecture student. She had always been passionate about movement, having years of experience in ballet and in 2008, after working as an industrial designer for several years, she left Chile to discover a new path. She saw how yoga had helped to overcome many of life's difficulties, including her own personal hardships; It had healed her, and had given an inner strength and focus. She now felt a strong desire to share her knowledge and to show others the benefits of regular practice. Carla did her first TT at Samahita Retreat in Thailand and constantly continues to enhance her practice and teaching by regularly attending TT and workshops with teachers such as Michael Hamilton, John Scott, Dough Keller, and Francoise Freedman. Her main practice and sources of inspiration for her classes are Ashtanga yoga, Vipassana and yoga Nidra. She is also a certified prenatal and postnatal teacher. Having been through a bicycle accident herself, she understands even more now the importance of adapting the practice for different moments and possibilities of movement. In her classes, she focuses on exploring while keeping the practice safe, finding healthy alignment in synchronicity with breathing. She encourages finding the strength from a place within rather than from using force, respecting each body as unique and perfect.

Sarah Mai
After attending her first yoga class in 2004, Sarah's initial curiosity for yoga developed into a real passion. She was fascinated by the deep union of precise bodywork and spirituality. Yoga has guided her through many challenging phases in life, helping her to find her grounding and boosting her self-confidence. Sarah completed her Yoga Teacher Trainings (Yoga Alliance) at AIRYOGA in Zurich: In 2012 a 200-hour Vinyasa Flow Training and in 2015 a 300-hour Advanced Hatha Yoga Training with Stephen Thomas. She continues to deepen her knowledge in workshops with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Rachel Zinman, Marc Holzmann, Yogeswari, Mark Stephens, and others. This year she attended the teacher module ‚Chakra’ at the Swiss Yoga Studium with Johannes Glarner, deepening her knowledge about the subtle and energetic work with the chakras. Furthermores, she assists her teacher Stephen Thomas at the 200-hour Teacher Trainings in AIRYOGA where they share their love and knowledge with all these wonderful new yoga teachers. She emphasises practising mindfully and listening to the body’s intuitive feedback. In her classes she always refers back to an awareness of the breath. Yoga should not merely ground and strengthen us, but support us to find a peaceful path to our inner essence. Sarah shares her philosophical understanding of yoga with her students, inviting them to lead their awareness from the mind into the space of the heart and to reside in that space.

Sabrina Cerea
Sabrina discovered yoga thanks to her mother in 2011, during a retreat in a Buddhist monastery in Tuscany. Since then, yoga has been a powerful way to heal herself, her mind, and her body. She is fascinated by the power of yoga on the physical body as well as on the mental space. It is beautiful how the mind reacts to the body’s impulses and vice versa. Traditional yoga philosophy had long ago discovered what modern medicine nowadays confirms and that is part of her constant research. Sabrina is fascinated by body and mind anatomy, so when she teaches, she loves to create playful sequences to help the body to leave its comfort zone and challenge itself. She loves to help people to explore yoga positions and to help them see these not just as challenging body poses, but as a way to feel release.

Rebecca Wölfli
A little over 10 years ago, Rebecca started using yoga as a way to balance her studies and consulting job. She often found the performance pressure in the corporate world overwhelming and needed a place where she could find peace within herself and her body. It was also important for her to anchor gentleness and strength as complementary values, rather than competing opposites. While exploring different yoga styles, she felt a particular attraction to both strong hatha poses as well as restorative yin yoga, where the pose is held for longer to deepen the experience. Her class is an invitation to a natural flow, where participants can "unfold", connecting movement with breath while letting go of thoughts. Rebecca completed her 200h teacher training at The Yoga Flat in Copenhagen and is continuing her 300h advanced teacher training with Simon Park. In addition to yoga, she loves moving her body, whether it is running, hiking, cycling, snowboarding – pretty much anything that takes place outdoors. Her love for nature is a great complement to her yoga practice; a place where she can practise letting go herself while creating her own space. She is passionate about igniting enthusiasm in her students, encouraging them to try new things and to get to know themselves little by little.

Nicola Walter
Intuition has been a guiding force for Nicola for as long as she can remember. Yoga, as a practice of body-mind connection, has further supported her in trusting her inner voice. As a therapist, she quickly realized the effectiveness of the many facets of Yoga.
However, it was Yin Yoga that deeply touched her on a personal level, allowing her to experience a profound connection between body, mind and soul, along with a deep sense of release and self-compassion. Yin Yoga has become an invaluable part of her work as a holistic therapist, seamlessly integrating into her focus on holistic methods. The roots of Yin Yoga, which draw from Taoism and Indian philosophy, resonate deeply with her approach.
Growing up in the countryside, always surrounded by animals, she maintained a strong connection to nature, which has become vital to her overall well-being. She brings this grounded wisdom into her classes, often referring to the elements of nature that are always a part of us. Nicola encourages her students to trust their bodies and inner voice, to fully let go of tension, and to find inner peace and deep release. She truly believes in the importance of balance in life and is passionate about bringing more Yin into our Yang-driven world.
